Sierras of Izco and Salajones
The Sierras of Izco and Salajones form a mountain range which, despite its proximity to the capital of Navarra, is little known to most people. Its thick, shady woodland, gentle sunlit slopes, drovers’ roads, deserted villages, historical routes, beautifully built corrals, spectacular views...., all things certain to surprise visitors. The creation of a wind farm on the summit has meant significant improvements in terms of access, while serving as an attraction in itself. Source: “Sierras de Izco y Salajones. Pre-Pyrenean Gorges
One of the chief natural attractions in Navarra’s mountainous region is its gorges. These gorges are cut by rivers to form deep, narrow, steep-faced valleys.

Reservoir of Yesa
The Reservoir of Yesa is a gem often called the Sea of the Pyrenees, an ideal place for water sport, fishing or simply resting in surroundings of great beauty.
Pitillas Wetland and birdwatching
Storks, geese, starlings, grebes, bitterns, marsh harriers, bee-eaters, swallows... hundreds of birds gently move around the Wetland of Pitillas, forming a natural mosaic in which colour, movement and sound transport you to a world of peaceful sensations. This natural area is a Natural Reserve, a Special Protection Area for Birds and a Wetland of International Importance, which should give some idea of its great ecological value. Three signposted paths let you get to know this 216-hectare natural reservoir. http://www.lagunadepitillas.org/
